Blog Guidelines
The blog is a space for Kmend members to have their say in long form on any topic that is relevant to the wider Kmend community. Unlike the rest of the closed site, the Kmend blog is open access and readable and shareable to people outside of the Kmend community.
We’d love for every one of you to publish something to the blog in your own time.
Any user can contribute to the blog. All submissions will be previewed before publication.
Thing to know about publishing a blog
The process is very simple. Once you have clicked on Blog Submission or Create a Blog Submission, you will be presented with a form to fill in and you will be asked to provide:
- A blog title and text
- An image* to accompany the post (this is optional)
- An industry category for the blog from the list provided
*You must have the rights to use any image you provide
Review process
Once your blog is submitted, our team will be alerted that there is a new post to be reviewed. We will review and if necessary, edit the post before we publish it. Editing may be in the form of fixing typing errors, creating paragraphs or spaces where needed, adding or removing images, editing some words for SEO purposes or any other editing needed to prepare the post for publication.
Some posts may not be published if they are not suitable for the blog.
Publication will not be immediate so please be patient while we review.
What should I write about?
- A topic you are knowledgeable about
- Something that is relevant to the wider Kmend community
- Demonstrate your expertise in a particular field or niche
- Share new ideas
- Share opinions on new developments in your industry
- Do not use the blog to directly sell your business
Below are some topic suggestions that might help to cultivate some ideas of your own:
- How to improve your business’s online presence
- Financial tips for business owners
- Strategies for successful leadership and management
- The benefits of networking for your business
- How to create a strong brand identity
- The importance of customer service and how to improve it
- Using social media to promote your business and engage with your customers
- Navigating legal and regulatory compliance
- Creative marketing ideas to attract new customers to your business
Best practice
Write on a subject that you know about, are interested in or passionate about. Your interest will shine through to other members who read your article and will generate discussion and comments on the subject.
Please ensure that you have permission and/or the right to use any image that you provide. If you or your company do not have rights for a suitable image, you can use a Creative Commons licensed image. Alternatively, you can submit your post with no image and we will add one for you during the review process.
